White jade – Candleholder

The natural white jade contains cinnabar ooze-color and bony white.  The round carving presents a crouching horse that is looking straight and possesses features of oblique-rubbed eye pits, protruding eyes, open mouth, and smile lips. The mane of horse is engraved with orderly intaglio lines. The horse cheek is cubic partly, and two wings were carved on the body side.  The horse back is the foundation of candle holder, and the horse tail was designed as a handle. The smooth and translucent jade depicts a vivid horse.

Weight: 370 g

Height: 7.2 cm

Width: 4.5 cm

The white jade was calcified partly and carved by round carving skill. The Chi crouching dragon is looking straight and stretching tongue out of open mouth. Twisted lines appear on dragon horn and tail. The background pressing skill performs softness out of hardness.
